Accomplishments
  • Since July 1, 2020:
    These accomplishments are provided by the Department of Health and Human Services and reflects its sole views. Developed the Medical Chart Template used in Trauma Center Designation. Revised language of questionnaires used to review hospitals for State Trauma Center Designations. Assisted in restructuring board members to ensure broad stakeholder representation of the State Trauma Advisory Board.Advised the Department on revision Statewide Trauma System Regulations and Data Dictionary adopted on May 17, 2022.Supported the clean-up bill of the NE Trauma System Act adopted on April 16, 2022.Participated in a Board Strategic Planning Session that resulted in the compilation of five board member working committees focusing on education, data quality and financial support of the program. Planning a Statewide Trauma Symposium for 2025.Approved draft regulations revisions for the NE Statewide Trauma System to be compliant with statute change. Recommended an American College of Surgeons Trauma System Consultation for the State of Nebraska to improve trauma care in the state.
