    NRS 43-4002 (Repealed in 2020) required the Task Force to prepare a children's behavioral health plan and submit to the Governor and the HHS Committee on or before December 4, 2007. The plan included development of a statewide integrated system of care; development of community-based inpatient and subacute substance abusebehavioral health services; strategies for serving juveniles; development of capacity for these services; strategies and mechanisms for the integration of state, federal, local and other funding sources; measurable benchmarks and timelines; identification of necessary statutory changes; and a plan for a data and information system for all children receiving these services.This report was completed December, 2007 and there has been no other statutorily-required reports for this task force. LB 1188, in 2020, repealed the planning requirements since it was completed in 2007.

    LB 542 (2007) created this task force and plan requirements in 2007. Under LB 542, the membership consisted of the HHS Committee chair or designee; Appropriations Committee chair or designee; 2 community-based behavioral health providers; one regional administrator; 2 representatives advocating for consumers; one juvenile court judge; 2 DHHS representatives; and the Office of Juvenile Services administrator. In 2007, these members were Senator Jim Jensen (chair), Scot AdamsDHHS, Beth BaxterRegion 3, Judge Elizabeth Crnkovich, Senator Lavon Heidemann, Ruth Henrichs, Senator Joel Johnson, Candy Kenney, Todd LandryDHHS, Tom McBride, Kathy Bigsby Moore, and Terri NutzmanDHHSOJS. LB 928, in 2008, required the Chair of HHS Committee to chair this task force instead of the Task Force chair. LB 540, in 2009, removed DHHS representatives and the Juvenile Services Administrator from the Task Force membership. Lastly, LB 381, in 2020, removed members being compensated for actual and necessary expenses.
