    The Board does not have a budget. The claims approved by the Board are paid by the Risk Management office using the Tort, Miscellaneous, Indemnification and State Insurance Fund. In addition, there are claims funded by the Legislature.

Accomplishments
  • Since July 1, 2016:
    The Board has settled, approved and denied hundreds of claims filed against the State of Nebraska. The Board has assisted in reducing open claims against the State from 1505 on January 1, 2016 to 389 on June 30, 2020.
