The citizen members shall begin serving immediately following notice of nomination and prior to approval by the Legislature.

Accomplishments
  • Since July 1, 2016:
    In the past four years the Trust has granted over $80M to projects across the State of Nebraska for water, air, soil, habitat, and recyclingmunicipal waste. We assisted the Ian Nicolson Audubon Rowe Sanctuary construct Discovery Stations on the banks of the Platte River near Kearney. We continue funding the Nebraska Master Nationalist Program. The Trust has funded the Prairie Corridor on Haines Branch, a project connecting the City of Lincoln and Spring Creek Prairie. We assisted the Nebraska Historical Society Foundation acquire 360 acres surrounding the Chimney Rock National Historic Site. We provided funds to the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum to provide trees and landscaping services across the State.
