Purpose:The Board is responsible for the administration of the Collection Agency Act. It reviews all applications submitted for a Collection Agency License, investigating the qualifications of the applicants, and issuing a license or denying the application, as it determines appropriate. Neb. Rev. Stat. 45-605.

Accomplishments

Since July 1, 2016:The Board has reviewed and approved or denied applications for Collection Agencies at quarterly meetings. In 2017, developed a portal for renewing licenses online. In 2020, adopted the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry for licensing functions.
