Accomplishments
  • Since July 1, 2016:
    Funded 729 grants totaling $3,628,123 to train over 20,600 Nebraska workers. Among those funded:A grant to create a curriculum and hire an instructor at Central Community College for plastic injection molding utilized by Becton Dickinson in anticipation of their Nebraska expansion.A grant to Pathways 2 Tomorrow, a joint effort of Northeast CC, Wayne State, Eight school districts and 16 communities in the West Point area to develop high school and college courses to meet the needs of local businesses.Twenty-four apprenticeship grants totaling over $726,000.A grant to the Westside Foundation to expand weldingfabrication instruction in the Omaha community.
