    The Task Force for Building Renewal reviews, classifies and recommends funding to the Governor for various deferred building maintenance projects as requested by State agencies. In its review, the Task Force considers deferred repair, firelife safety, ADA and energy conservation projects. The Task Force also assists and advises agencies on specific problems and provides maintenance training and workshops to assist agency maintenance and professional staff in the performance of their duties.

Accomplishments
  • Since July 1, 2016:
    Provided professional consulting services to other state agencies to assist in solving facility maintenance problems; visited and inspected (over 600 inspections) facilities that were identified as needing deferred maintenance, firelife safety, ADA andor energy conservation funding; provided over 600 inspections of funded projects; allocated and administered over $85 million on over 400 projects for state agencies; provided over 300 training events to over 1,500 state agency personnel to assist them in the performance of their duties.
