Potential HarmCredentialing ensures qualified individuals remain able to respond to the public health needs and threats from the environment. When the responsibilities of environmental health are completed improperly, or by unqualified individuals, there is an increased risk of food- and water-borne diseases. Exposure to these diseases could cause Nebraskans to suffer serious illness, injury, or death.
