Potential HarmA Temporary Registered Environmental Health Specialist license is issued to an applicant who is a military spouse, to allow the applicant to conduct registered environmental health activities while they are applying for a regular credential. If this license type is taken away, military spouses would be unable to work in their profession while their application for a credential is pending, which may make it impractical for the spouse to apply for a credential. This means the military spouse may choose to work in another field or choose not to work while their family member is stationed in Nebraska.
