Potential Harm | There would be no government oversight to provide protection to the public or the industry. An asbestos project monitor represents the building owner to ensure compliance with an asbestos project. If the asbestos project monitor is no longer regulated, building owners would not have a representative to ensure compliance with project specifications and state regulations on their behalf. There would also be no one to perform air monitoring at asbestos projects.
Nebraska training providers do not offer training for project monitors.
