Purpose:The Nebraska Ethanol Board works to ensure strong public policy and consumer support for biofuels. Since 1971, the independent state agency has designed and managed programs to expand production, market access, worker safety and technology innovation, including recruitment of producers interested in developing conventional ethanol, as well as bio-products from the ethanol platform.

Accomplishments

Since July 1, 2021:- Provide subject matter expertise for producers, legislators, citizens, educators, etc.- Serve on panels, speak at, and attend various industry events around the state and country to discuss renewable fuels- Published 2020 and 2021-2023 Nebraska Ethanol Economic Impact Studies- Steward Phase II of E30 fuel demonstration- Host Renewable Fuels Month every May- Administer Fuel the Cure program every October- Established Nebraska Clean Cities Coalition with ethanol focus- Hold fuel promotions at various events, including newly opened fuel retail locations- State and federal policy efforts: E15 Access Standard, D.C. fly-ins, etc.- Host annual Emerging Issues Forum- Host annual EHS Summit and other safety trainings- Collaborate with UNL's Manufacturing Extension Partnership to host valuable safety and process courses and establish a reimbursement program for NE ethanol plant attendees- Serve as primary resource for fuel retailer ethanol-blend labels- Work with potential new business opportunities to partner with NE ethanol producers
