Accomplishments

Since July 1, 2020:The Board has helped guide Agency decisions regarding codes and regulations. The Boiler Division has been under going numerous changes with the previous chief leaving, a deputy position being unfilled for an extended amount of time, the loss of a position, and the addition of all inspections in the Omaha area due to a decision by the city not to fill a position after the retirement of their employee. The Agency proposed to the Board the removal of certain object types from the program due to technology advancements and the Board approved moving forward with those changes. The Board has not met this year due to the lack of a Boiler Chief and the numerous staff transitions.
