Purpose:The purpose of a Priority School Intervention Team is to assist the school district with diagnosing issues that negatively affect student achievement in the priority school, designing and implementing strategies to address such issues through the progress plan, and developing measurable indicators of progress. Each Priority School is assigned an intervention team.
How Many Affectable:Only schools classified as Needs Improvement. In 2016, there were 87 Needs Improvement schools.
How Many Served:1,145 students, 120 classroom teachers, and 11 administrators in public schools

Accomplishments

Since July 1, 2016:Of the 3 original Priority Schools identified, 2 have exited Priority status, having demonstrated increases in student achievement, educator effectiveness, and family and community engagement. Three schools were added to receive the additional support they need to improve.
