| Qualifications Of Members: | Members of the Nebraska Workforce Development Board shall represent diverse geographic areas of the State of Nebraska, including urban, rural, and suburban areas. As required under WIOA Section 101(b), the membership of the Nebraska Workforce Development Board must include the Governor, a member of the Nebraska legislature, and members appointed by the Governor. Of the members appointed by the Governor, a majority must be representatives of businesses, not less than 20 percent must be representatives of the workforce within the state, and the balance must be representatives of government. As such, 52 percent of the Governor-appointed members are representatives of business in Nebraska, 24 percent are representatives of workforce within the state, and 24 percent are representatives of government in Nebraska. |
